Malt Sensory Training Seminar
Time: November 5th, 2020 8pm Central
Earlier this year the BJCP Education Directorate published a malt sensory exercise aimed at letting participants experience the aromas and flavors that different malts can offer to beer. In addition to getting a chance to experience what the malt has to offer the exercise also aids the participant in developing ways to communicate the experience using a training aid. This presentation will go over what went into the development of the exercise, the benefits and different methods for conducting it, and demo the steps using Maris Otter malt. The session will be recorded and made available for future viewing in the event people are not able to attend.
The Malt Sensory Training can be found here on the BJCP website. We’ll be using this Google Form to capture the info of those that wish to attend. The link to the meeting will be emailed to those that signed up ahead of the event. BJCP judges who participate will have an opportunity to receive non-judging ETD credit.
We look forward to this first offering in a three part series of sensory exercises.
