The Exam Directors are pleased to announce that the following appointments have been approved by the BJCP Board.
Agatha Feltus is appointed as Exam Director (ED), a position she has earned in spades after serving as Associate Exam Director (AD) for over seven years. As ED, she will maintain her focus on foreign language exams, which this year will surpass thirty exam sets in countries where Spanish, Portuguese or Italian are spoken. She’s played a pivotal role in the growth of the BJCP, and we certainly need her support at the ED level. Her appointment will begin on 1/1/2019.
Diego Setti (from Buenos Aires, Argentina) and Thomaz Pupo (from São Paulo, Brazil) are appointed Associate Exam Directors. Diego and Thomaz are sufficiently fluent in Spanish, Portuguese and English to handle exam sets in those languages, but they will focus on exam sets in their native tongue. Both are outstanding graders, judges and mentors and will be a key part of BJCP activities in Latin American. Brazil and Argentina are continuing to grow, as is the case in every region. Their appointments are not only necessary to backfill Agatha’s position, but they will also strengthen the relationship of the BJCP with our membership in Latin America and help us keep pace with rapid international growth.
Please welcome Agatha, Diego and Thomaz to their new roles!
