BJCP Regional Representative elections will be held in the following regions in 2020:
-
Asia-Pacific Region
-
Europe-Middle East-Africa (EMEA) Region
-
Northeast Region
-
West Region
Potential candidates must be nominated via the online nomination form (by themselves or others) and receive five endorsements from active judges within their region (also submitted through the nomination form). In order to serve as a Regional Representative, nominees must meet these qualifications: (i) reside in the region at the time of the election, (ii) active member status in good standing, and (iii) National or higher BJCP rank.
Nominations will be accepted through May 7th, and more details can be found on the BJCP Election Information Page. Questions can be sent to the BJCP Election Committee Chair.
For reference, in 2019, the BJCP Board voted to add three new international regions: Latin America, Asia-Pacific, and Europe-Middle East-Africa (EMEA). These regions were created from the previous Northeast region that contained all international judges except western Canada. Canada will remain split between the North and Northeast regions. To further balance regions in North America, Nevada was moved from the Mountain/Northwest Region to the West Region.
